Unlike no other port, a team of ambassadors represent the Port of Belledune.  These 20-plus business people represent the port on a voluntary basis, using their contacts and connections to promote the Port of Belledune as a highly viable option in terms of a gateway for import-export.  The members of the Ambassadors’ Club also provide the port with useful information on potential business opportunities that arise in the course of conducting their normal business locally, regionally, provincially, nationally, and abroad.  The ambassadors share a common goal – increasing port business in order to strengthen and stimulate the regional economy.  This goal is reflective of a facet of the mandate of the Port of Belledune which is, to develop to the fullest, the services and facilities of the port, to enable it to become an  anchor of economic development in northern New Brunswick.
