Rayburn Doucett Terminal (Terminal IV)
Roll-On Roll-Off Terminal • Ramp width of 27.0 meters (88.58 feet) • Draft of approximately 9.0 meters (29.5 feet) at chart datum • Ramp designed for stern ramp, slewing ramp or quarter ramp vessels • 6 hectares (14.82 acres) of terminal space, storage and work area For shippers and businesses moving wheeled cargo including machines, light vehicles such as cars and trucks, and transport trucks, the Port of Belledune is a sound alternative to in-city congestion. It has the infrastructure, space for development, and road and rail access making it the ideal location for wheeled cargo. The Roll-On Roll-Off Terminal is equipped to handle ferry traffic among other things and is designed to accommodate stern ramp, slewing ramp, and quarter ramp vessels. The terminal has six hectares of terminal space available for work bays, parking garages and storage of all types of cargo. In addition, there is a complementary 3 hectare storage area adjacent to the terminal. Barge Terminal • Capacity for 30.4X121.9 meter (100X400 feet) barge • Draft of 7.0 metres (23 feet) at chart datum • 53kpa (1100 lbs/sq.ft) load capacity on new apron • Power distribution on terminal 600 volt three phase • 3 hectare (7.41 acres) back storage area ample expansion area (+1600 acres) The barge terminal adds versatility to Port of Belledune’s infrastructure facilitating short sea shipping and trans-shipping operations. The barge terminal shares 6 hectares of storage space with the Roll on-Roll off Terminal and has immediate access to a 3 hectare storage space. Additionally, the Belledune Port Authority has close to 600 hectares of land for development within minutes of the terminal. |
